| Katherine W. Hutton, RN (80)
died peacefully in the company of family on Wednesday June
25,2008 at Bonifay Nursing Home in Bonifay, Florida. Katherine
is the daughter of the late Dr. Walter and Leah Wickstom. She
was born in Miami, Florida on April 21, 1928 and spent her early
years there. With the loss of her parents at the age of 12,
Katherine was forced to live with relatives in Ohio. During her
high school years she was active in theatrics and became a
member of The International Thespian Society. After graduating
Hughes High school she was awarded a full scholarship to Jewish
Hospital School of Nursing in Cincinnati, Ohio. While in school
Katherine met and married George John Hutton, Jr. Upon
graduation they moved to Miami, Florida. Most of her nursing
career was spent doing OB/Gyn nursing. She was a charter member
of The Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal
Nurses. She kept her nursing license current until last year. |
